The spirits were restless in Trumbull County...
They had several ghoulish stories to tell...
(This is an actual, award-winning pic, taken yesterday at the Ghost Walk.)
Awesome Marsha and I got to go to the last tour of the year for the Ghost Walk!
It was a bit chilly, according to Awesome...but we still had a great time.
Stories
The Hollyhock Club story, this time told through the eyes of one of the singer/dancers. This is always an excellent tale. The Hollyhock Club was the number one speakeasy in Trumbull during prohibition.
Story of the clairvoyant who investigated the ghosts of the Klein family. This eerie tale takes place at the Cortland Opera House. I was so frightened.
Lady in the graveyard. This is one of my favorites. It was told differently this year, with two people instead of one.
The suicide of Henry Bishop Perkins. He was found dead in 1900, laying in the riverbed. He shot himself with a revolver.
The tale of the honey bee witch. This one was quite interesting. Evidently this lady could make bees produce 2X the honey. The honey lovers obviously missed her when she mysteriously disappeared.
The underground railroad conductor. Talk about a great story! It was actually one with a lot of comedy in it, as well as being a story of the brave conductors on the underground railroad.
The slave on the underground railroad. This one was really well done, by a young man who portrayed a slave. This story was tied into the conductor story very nicely.

My halloween season has rocked so far. There have been some scary movies (even though I don't get to see a whole one usually), a great play (Sweeney Todd), and now the event I look forward to every year.
Hopefully I don't miss it next year!
