Yesterday after 2PM I got a message on my work phone that said some people would be redoing the driveway.
Basically I wouldn't have anywhere to park.
I called them and bitched them out.
Now I park in the yard, and I am marking it up reeeeeaaal nice.
Eat that, jerks.

Golf

Yesterday was awesome.
It was chilly.  I was tired.  Stressed.
But Wildman was my golf partner.
There is no substitute for that guy.  He's the greatest.
He had some great shots.  He cranked the golf cart like a freakin' maniac.  He encouraged me to do the beer can drive, which I did surprisingly well at, and we laughed quite a bit.

This was the most fun I've had golfing so far this year.  Hope to do it again sometime.

Range Trip

I went in to work today for about four hours.  I am so close to the end of this job and ready to move on to the big one in desperate need of finishing.

Afterwards I went on out to the range!
The game plan was to test the PT to see if it was the crappy Federal ammo that caused the jam my last time out, which is what I suspected.  But I had to be sure.
And the other half was to do some longer range shooting with the old crooked barreled magnum.

Oh yeah.  I was geared up and looking fine as can be.

The PT...and yes another box of cheap ammo, but a brand that I have actually had perfect luck with.
All the rounds went fine without a hitch.  So the lesson learned?  No more Federal.  Ever.
(Federal is also the brand that gave me some dead primers in .45acp.)

Bertha the big, crooked magnum.  I shoot fine with it, but it's always kind of funny when someone else tries it and says "hey these sights look funny".
I shot at 25 yards.  I shot at 50 yards.  And of course anytime I go the range I feel the urge to try the 100 yard targets.  Just for fun.

OK, judging by the above picture you can see I'm not a marksman by any means.
But in my defense I don't get to do a lot of shooting, and IT WAS AT 100 FREAKIN' YARDS.  So gimme a break.  I still hit a bullseye. Blind luck though, since I can barely see the target that far away.

The PT before reassembly.  Looks odd with a magazine in and no slide.
***
The whole place smells like Ballistol.  I dirtied every gun rag.  I cleaned till my heart was way past content and bordering on annoyed.
But it's still the greatest to send lead downrange.
***
Forgot to mention:  I can hit anything I point at with the bippy too now.  Though I forgot to mention it in this post earlier, I shot it too.

Willie partnered up with me, and we had a blast.
I had pretty good driving, and my chipping wasn't bad either.  The poor 45 degree doesn't get much use anymore now that I got the 60...I certainly love that 60.

Neil and Stubby were the other half of the foursome.  Together, we all shared a good round.

Back at the clubhouse, Marci seemed to be in a bad mood, and so was Naggy.

Afterwards I headed on over to Chrystal's for some awesome dinner with she and Dave G.  Excellent chicken, stuffed mushrooms, corn on the cob, and some great salad.  I love them two...they sure take great care of me.

Golf is the break in the stress these days.  I can't seem to get out on the bike as much as I'd like to, so at least the membership in the golf league has been treating me so well.

G Man Party

Last night...
The G Man threw a party at his crib!
His beautiful wife made some great grub, and there was some great music with excellent boogying.
I tell ya, the G-ster can cut up a rug.

Chillin' at the event:
Wildman, Amber, Alex, John, Viola, Eddie, Shelly, Dorothy, Mark(?), G Man's Mommy, some young girl who snubbed me but I can't recall who she was.....

In addition, Spongebob showed up.  It was great to see him.

I certainly hope that his near future finds him well.  I hope that for all the rest of us also.

Thanks for a great time, G Man!

And thanks for the talk later in the night, Wildman.

Dinner With Awesome (Double Awesomeness)

When thangs are on your mind, it's time to have a sit down with that awesome in your life.

So off to Andover I went, to have a nice conversation, take a great walk, and eat some really good grub.

Life never stops changing, and it makes no apologies.  So I'm thankful for being able to bounce ideas off of, crack jokes with, and just plain chill out with Awesome.

Awesome and I are like a team of double awesomeness.  Because we got it like that.

After the visit, the phone was blowing up about the going-ons that are fairly scary.
Spongbob, G Man, Wildfamily, and many other peeps are all going to chillax in an effort to ease the stress.
scary things going on.
spongebob, i'll miss you.

Wildman golfed today!
He was Willie's partner.  It was really nice to see him out on the course.  Them Taylormades needed a work out.

Dave G. was my partner by default.  He needed a ride to the course.  Oh, and he brought beer.

Man, it was a total 180 from last week.  I drove pretty well, my ground game was way better, and I hit several puts, one of which was at least a twenty footer.  Of course that one was luck, but hey...I'll take it.

Seriously....twenty feet.  Go me.

Afterwards, Dave G. and I headed over to Chrystal's for some salmon fresh off the grill, some wine, broccoli salad, baked potatoes.......and some good conversation around the bonfire.

Definitely a good night.

Worst round of golf I have probably ever played.
Absolutely horrible.
Plus the cart was messed up, and I had to golf solo due to an odd number of people.

But the hanging out afterwards is always great, so a bad day on the course isn't so bad.

Marcie took the night off, but her replacement was excellent.
I chatted her up with Naggy, and he talked me up to be some amazing guy to her.  Almost to the point I was about to gag on the compliments, but it seemed to work.
I made a new friend that night.
I owe Naggy it seems.

Happy Birthday(s)!
Hope you two never stop dreaming!

Both of you have the world.
Love you!

Bonneville

There was a storm rolling in, so I waited for the rain to stop.  Then I rolled out on the expired inspection tag.
What was odd, was last night I did the same thing and was completely comfortable.  This time I was worried about getting pulled over.  I didn't.
I love taking the bike to Crolli's.  Those dudes seem really trustworthy.
Their mechanic looks and acts drunk, but everyone else is cool.
The Bonneville passed inspection, which was what I was hoping.
I always go over the bike, and make sure everything matches the specs listed in the Haynes manual as best as I can.
I rode home, with lightning and almost black clouds coming right at me, but never felt a drop of rain.
It rained a short time after I put the bike away.
And hailed.
Poor Santa Gay got all kinds of beatings from the hail.  (second time in one month for hail here.)

About five hours later, it was time for another ride.
Wildman, Nikki, and myself hit the roads.
Wildman's bike is twice as powerful as mine, but I smoked him once.  The Speedmaster A.K.A. Bonnie really ran smooth.

Nice ride.  I am finally getting back to my old self.
Motorcycle rides cure everything.

Bonneville Still Alive And Fast

Load me up, and hand me the keys.

The Bonneville rides just as nice, whether on expired inspection tags or not.

It took a little cranking to blow the cobwebs out, but afterwards things were better.

Stopped at a stop light down town, and some chic started yelling (I think it was "nice bike" or something), then all her little friendies did too.

Looked like she was 'clubbin' and on her way to the next one....or desperate.  One of the two.  Probably the second.

She walked out into the street towards me, even though the perpendicular traffic light was turning yellow.  And I think she said "hey".

I stared at her like, "what on earth is your problem"....but by then I saw she was indeed not bad at all.  Nice smile.

Not quite tall enough, but brunette.  I caught sight of her legs.  Eh.....but, when I scanned a bit higher....my oh my.

I composed myself.

I gave them all the bird, and went on my way.  Hope she took it as a compliment.

Rode for a bit.

I wasn't feeling it beyond 60MPH, but then again that shouldn't matter since it's only 25MPH there anyway.

Bonnie has a few hiccups.  But she's pretty smooth.  I hope she stays that way for tomorrow.

If not, I'll fix her.

Do You Believe In God?

Just keep your head down.
Don't look at the big picture.

JupMode

The gray sweater vest tee is one of my favorite shirts of all time.
And as indicated above, I am not alone.

Click on either of the pictures of cute people above, in order to head on over to jupmode.com.

To all OSU fans out there, it's unbelievable to think there won't be any more Tressel years.

Jupmode is offering some of the great line up at a reduced cost.

Head over there and snatch them up.  The Tressel shirts are great.  Everyone needs one!
Show Tressel you believed in him!

Golf League Week Two (Last Night)

Golf went really well.
Willie was my partner, and together I am sure we showed everyone that they just aren't as cool as we are.
Every time he bent over to pick up his ball from the green, there was some crack attack.  But other than that having Willie as a partner rocks.

Marci said she was mad at me and that I am ridiculous.  I shrugged it off and walked away, not giving a crap.  I mean, it was bonding time with the guys....so who has time to bother with "I'm mad at you"?
Later she asked if I knew what she was talking about, and I told her no.
Here, she was joking, and was referring to something really nice I had done the previous week.
So I did it again.
She got "mad" at me again.

Afterwards, Bruce and I hung out.  We joked.  We drank.  We hugged.  Because manly men do that.

Then I went to Dave G. and Chrystal's for some food.  It was excellent.

I got home and passed out within minutes of sitting on the couch.

The golf league is the best.  I play much better so far this season, than I did last year.

Booyah.
