45

On the right: the famous but discontinued HK P7.
Chambered in 9X19mm.  Carried by Hans Gruber in "Die Hard".
On the left: Patriot 45.
Chambered in .45 ACP.
And the one on the left will be on order soon.
Finally found a .45 small enough for me to carry.

One of my favorites.
I posted about this movie on Feb. 22, 2008.
It's just as great a movie now as it was then.
Two Irish guys as cowboys.  Somehow, it works.

Savi!

Don't let the walker fool you.
It's a weapon of death and she isn't afraid to use it.
Thank you for the company, Savi.  You're a 4' 5" package of raw fury.
At least I don't need a bodyguard when I hang with you.

Norah Will You Marry Me?

Coolest, and oddest thing about this gift is that it comes with a green bag.
I'm all eco-friendly now.

Awesome Saturday

Took the smashed up Santa Gay back home to visit Awesome Marsha!
Great visit, though I got totally snubbed by George the whole time.
Sissy acted like I was her lover though, so I still felt pretty special.
I learned that you should never give Sissy any chicken though.  Because after about an hour she could use her farts as flea bombs.  Whew.
Awesome and I hung out like champs, drank some Beast, and ate some pretty good food.
Oh, and it's always awesome when she has belated birthday gifts too.

Crazy Bowling

I went bowling with the Ninja tonight.
She beat my ass.
I can't say I was ashamed.  I am the worst bowler ever.
Afterwards we got something to eat and talked.
It was really nice.
A break in the monotony is always good.

Partying

The Dudick tradition is continuing.
6 of us went out to lunch today, and we rocked the house.
I don't think he cares for my driving.
But I think he still likes me.

Everythang ain't in order.

But it's OK.

No reason to get cranky,

But what a crappy day.
***

Some days at work just plain suck.  Today was one of those days.
But at least things will start moving forward on my big project, in the right direction this time.
Once it's done, thangs will be A-OK.

Update: Next Tuesday the Santa Gay goes to the body shop to get all fixered up.
Can't say I'll miss driving a smashed up car.

Dinner

Trying to cook for myself more these days.
Not because of the money (though a benefit of cooking is saving money), but because I'm sick of takeout.
I suppose making stuff like these bakes isn't the same as doing it from scratch.
But at least I'm using my oven for the first time since I don't know when.
Soon as the little egg timer of mine goes off, it's grub time.

Poor Dudick

Dudick came into work late today.
He had a doctor's appointment, where he thought he was going to get a new prescription filled.
The doc decided to do a full physical on him.  And I mean a FULL one.
He was mighty grumpy when he came in, but told the story and laughed about it.

And boy he was indeed grumpy, but he and I still got some things done together.

Later on in the day he mentioned that he had a rough start to the day.  I couldn't blame him at all for feeling that way.

Ah, the Dudick.  You gotta love him.

MDA Lockup

2011 MDA Lockup Arrest Warrant For Paul J.
I am getting locked up!
I'm being charged with having a big heart. Sentencing will be carried out on April 23rd, 2011.  So help me raise bail and drop me some cash. You'll be happy you did, because it is for a very worthy cause. So cmon and have a big heart yourself...

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
---------------------------------------------
I think this is my fourth year in a row doing this.  It's a lot of fun, and for a good cause.
So dip into that wallet, that purse, safe, bank account, or dig into your couch for loose change.

Dayton

For the weekend, I drove down into the Dayton area.
The highlight of the entire trip was being able to spend time with Jo.
She makes you feel at home, laughs at your jokes even when they aren't funny, gets crazy with it without any need of additional guidance, and makes it so that you don't want to leave.
(And here I thought with my help she could be the craziest.)
Thank you for spending that time with me, Jo.
I'll never forget it.

Party Friday

Dudick has stated that every Friday should be 'Party Friday', since we are all working so much overtime.
Pictured above are Brett in the distance, and the man himself.  The legend.  The king.  The one and the only Dudick.
Ladies, calm yourselves.  His appeal is natural, so just take a cold shower and it will be OK.
The Dudick will always be my hero.

The other partiers were: Wildman, Meep, and Dave G., but he didn't make it into the picture.
Fridays will be great from now on.
Because every restaurant we unleash our fury on will forever recognize us as the ultimate partying engineers.

Good call, Dudick.  Party Friday is the greatest.

Drives Meeting

Z Man, Badass Billy G, and myself went to Cleveland with the Big Guy's replacement.
I call him the Woods Sitter.
"Does a Shick sit in the woods"?  The world may never know.
Anywho, it was a nice trip only because I got out of the office.
I didn't get anything accomplished that was planned because the guy I needed to meet with cancelled after we had already arrived.
I went most of the day without a dip, though.  And I seemed to feel OK.  I didn't feel great, mind you.  But I was OK.
I kept dozing off on our way back to the office.  It was a seriously boring trip back.
At least I got to have some cool dreams.  That's about all I accomplished today.

Dinner

Dinner with a beautiful woman.
(Pictured in the Doc Holiday post.)
It was nice to have company.
I love not having room mates, but tonight was one night it sucked to go home alone.
Sometimes the company is just that good.

Doc Holiday

Looking like a vagrant, and still mackin'.
Because ugly dudes get all the chicks.
She's a sweetheart.

Movie Night With HCSD (Willie)

Willie and his wife Becky came up with the idea of going to see a movie.
I was introduced to Becky's friend.
The movie wasn't bad at all.  It was actually better than I thought it would be.
It was really nice meeting her friend too.
She seems like a lovely young woman.
We all went out to eat afterwards.
But I gotta tell ya.  I needed a damn dip for so long that I thought I was going to have to resort to stabbing my eyes with a fork.

Bad Acting, Bad Writing = Good Times

Pure 'bad movie' goodness, that did not disappoint me.
It's amazing how well I remembered this movie, for only being five years old when I first saw it.

Saturday, January 8, 2011

I worked a lot of hours this week.  But I am starting to get things done.
I start working on my second project for a Cleveland company on Monday.  Working with Badass Billy G is sometimes difficult because we rarely see eye to eye, but he's one of the best people to work with overall.  The guy is amazing, so I'm glad he is part of both of my two main projects.  And even though he and I don't always see eye to eye, he has never steered me wrong.

Thursday night the snow was dropping pretty good, and I was out gathering things for the gym I was going to start at next week.  I ended up in a car accident and smashed up the front end of the Santa Gay a bit.  Everyone was OK, but I'm going to be paying out some serious cash as a result.  I hope I can get it fixed soon, but the insurance company is kind of screwing around so far.

Last night Dave G stopped over, and we moved my safe up three flights of stairs into my bedroom.  I was surprised how strong I felt last night.  I actually did 100% of the lifting for most of the first flight of stairs.  Once I pooped out, Dave was able to muscle it the last few steps.  That guy is pretty strong.

Afterwards he and I went out to the Oasis and played some games of cut throat, 9 ball, and liquids.  Then we went to McGarrity's and had some Rubens.

So far today I have been having a hard time moving around.  I must have come down with something.  But I'll hopefully start feeling better in the next few days.

Def Con 4 came in the mail last night!  I am pretty excited about that.  Since I'm not going to be doing much for the next few days I am looking forward to it.

Random Updates

I've begun making schematics for the Scranton project.
It's stressful, since I haven't done a set of drawings of my own since 2008.  But I'm sure I'll get through it.

Next week will be my first week at the gym.  Woah.  The gym membership will be great for helping unwind after a long work day.

I've decided to purchase a blue ray player.  I'll primarily use the dvd player, but over time the blue ray will end up getting used more.

I've been rocking my new high def tv, courtesy of Awesome Marsha.  I tell ya, if she was your mother you'd get the best Christmas gifts ever.

I still think Sandra Bullock is super hot.  But Olivia Wilde is my new favorite.

Wildman and Amber are about to have a baby in the next week or so.  If this baby farts on me like Alex did when I first met him, I'll consider the circle to be complete.

Nikki and I are continuing our lustful affair.  I don't think her boyfriend approves.

My latest purchase of Def-con 4 should be in soon.  I'm pretty excited.  I hope it's as good as it was when I was a kid.

I have made friends with Vicky's dog, Pooh Bear. That little guy is real cuddly.

I know of a nice church in town I'm going to go to.  Seems worth a shot.  We'll see.

I'll begin the final stage of quitting the dippin' habit next weekend.  Oh, it's been a long time coming.

the browns have been 'rebuilding' for the last decade.
so it looks like 2011 starts the second decade of 'rebuilding'.
it's rough to be a browns fan.

31

Movie Night

Wildman and I went to the movies tonight, which was really nice.
We saw the new Tron movie in 3D.
It was way better than the first movie, in my opinion.
And Olivia Wilde as "Quorra" was incredible.
But of course, Mr. Bridges was amazing, though I wasn't so sure of the whole "Zen" thing he had going on.
Pretty sweet movie that I'll buy when it comes out.
Maybe it will be my first blue ray movie.  We'll see.

It's A New Year

2010 was a year that brought a lot of changes for me.
Some of them brought memories that I'll cherish.  Other changes were painful.
And there's a lot of big things for me that I am adjusting to.
So it's a new year.  No resolutions for me really.
I grow older as the years roll by seemingly faster each year, but wiser I'm not so sure of.

I'm going to make it a better year than 2010.
A year that doesn't involve country music at all.  Yuck.
Maybe that's my resolution.
