I met a girl online about three years ago.
I've never met her in person and never had any desire to. We just chat, or email from time to time.
It's easy to tell when she is single, because she will message me out of nowhere and say (every single time):
"Hi. How r u"
Every time. That is literally it word for word. I only noticed when I went through our fairly meaningless chats last night.
Then I'll say "fine", to which she will say "that's good".
Then she has little else to say. Soon after I just close the chat box and forget about her boring ass.
But when there's a man in her life, she will tell me how happy she is, and then ask me to "guess why". The answer is always about some douchebag that will be out of her life in a short time.
So last night she displays how happy she is, and I say "lemme guess...you have a new guy".
She told me that she did indeed have a new guy and was now in fact married. (Just last month she was single and had nothing to say.)
She didn't like it when I responded with:
"Oh wow. Sucks to be you."
In fact she got outright offended.
Soon after I just closed the chat box and logged off. I found it to be comical.
