Theresa's mom came up last night. After a nice talk with her, I left Bree with her and they stayed up late.
I guess they partied pretty hard.
This morning we all went out for breakfast. It was really good. (But I'm getting really hungry again.)
She mentioned today that she'd like to have me as a son-in-law.
It's a notion that is popping up more and more lately. Hmmmm.

Theresa just got up from a nap. Grandma is still out and about with Breeboosle.
We'll all get together again today before Grandma leaves.

More to post later!

Well it's the weekend.
Finally.
I'm going to work a while tomorrow, because I am a tad behind where I want to be with my projects. But the good news is, I am off Monday.
Monday is Theresa's birthday!

She's getting old, so everyone better wish her a happy birthday to rub it in!
Old Theresa, old Theresa!
Oh wait. I'm a little over a year older than her.
Damn.

This is mildly disturbing.
But still the coolest thing.

I shaved the beard off Saturday morning.
I was watching TV when Bryanna came down the stairs and stood at the bottom, staring at me.
I looked at her and told her that I was me, and she said "oh, hi Paul!".
Interesting.
When I got to work this morning, everyone made fun of me. The Z Man said I look drastically different. Well, compared to the bearded Paul, I'm sure I do...but different than before?
They are right. I have gained weight. 8 pounds. And I can see it in my face.
I mean c'mon, man. What's with the cleft in my chin? What am I, Kirk Douglas?

Family Tree

I'm kicking around the idea of doing a family tree.
I never had any desire to do this before, but this morning I started thinking about it.
There's a surprising amount of information that I don't know about my family.
I don't have names of half of my cousins, and I could possibly have half brothers or sisters that I don't even know about.
It will be interesting getting it done with the last name Smith, but I'm guessing my SSN would open a lot of avenues.
We'll see how this goes. I may lose the urge to do this before I even get started...but we'll see.

We didn't end up going back into the shop.
Thank god.
We just met with the controls vendor and drove home.
It was a good trip, and I'm glad to be back home.
Today we'll be driving back home after a meeting with the controls vendor on this project. We may end up going back into the plant also.
I kind of hope we don't go back in to that place. It is so nasty in there.
On top of disliking heights, everything is covered in oil. So a person on the walkways will be in the air, and sloshing in oil at the same time. Not exactly my idea of a party.
More to post later.

p.s. Tree, I hope you feel better soon. I'll be home tonight babe!

Joja

I intend to make a more detailed post about Georgia later, but we'll see if it ever happens. I intended to do a detailed post about my last Texas trip, but that never happened...and this one might slip through the cracks too.
I've just been pretty busy lately. Bobo and I worked 74 hours in the Southern state of Joja, so we really got our booties whooped.
The trip also involved spending the whole weekend in airports, losing my luggage again, and finding my luggage and losing the rest of the luggage.
I didn't get home until almost midnight.
Today is my first day back home, and all I did was pack for hitting the road tomorrow.
This trip is to Scranton, PA. It's going to be Big Billy G, Wildman, Fat Cat, and myself.
I'll be back in town on Thursday, and hopefully my stay at home will last this time!
More to post later.

Well.
Bobo and I are stranded in Columbus, Georgia.
I somehow got stranded without my personal luggage (I have my bag of work equipment.), so we had to go buy clothes for me.
We hope to get home sometime tonight by 11PM.
More to post later.

The Saints have won!
Yay for them! Sorry Patron, or whatever your name is. But this just wasn't your night.
Awesome Marsha came up for the weekend. It was a great visit!
Bree had a blast with her, and so did I.
We went shopping, watched movies, and she made some awesome stir fry.
Who's awesome? Marsha.
Period.

What Happened To My File?

I create a master project file for every work project I am involved with.
The project file for the job I'm going to Georgia for is obviously a very important one to me right now.
Well, something odd has happened.
Somehow the date of the file is Monday, the 1st. Even though I have worked on it all week.
I even logged on to my company's server through a VPN and checked that version. Same date.
What the hell?
So I wrote down everything I could think of that was in it, including my packing list....and then went upstairs to my suitcase to compare the contents to the list. So far, everything matches.
I then checked the dates of my electrical prints....and those are current.
So as of right now the crucial files are OK...
Just my handy-dandy project file appears to be flucced.
Just what I needed before an important trip...an oddity. Cripes.

Another odd thing had already happened prior to this. I shipped a package on Wednesday to Georgia that had the equipment needed for the trip. On Friday I called the guy we have on site to ask him if my package had made it to him. He indicated that he had no idea that I had shipped something to him, and that nothing had made it to him.
Evidently the project manager never informed him (like he said he would), and evidently Wednesday was not early enough.
If it doesn't make it, I am toast. But am I concerned? Only a tad.
I've learned that panic doesn't do me any good, so I am just rolling with the punches.
But wow. What a start. We haven't even made it on site, and things are going haywire.

Man Zone Revival

The above pic is a repeat from my blog.
I have been noticing the flab forming.
I have witnessed my arms losing strength.
And jogging to the mailbox puts me out of breath.
So, the man zone is going to be revived. I'm gonna pack on the pounds, and I'm gonna put the walking shoes to work. It's time to get into shape!
Old dudes the world over will hopefully be inspired by this post.

Dentist Visit

Bree's first trip to the dentist!
They have some concerns about her bite, so she has another visit scheduled soon.
But, she loved the adventure of going to the dentist, and at the end they gave her a toy lizard.
Interesting.
I want my own toy lizard now.
