Otters

The Otters won tonight.
It was my first game ever.
Bree had fun jumping all over the place and acting a fool.

i am now an 'official' resident of PA. got my id, and have it all set up to re title my vehicles in PA.
now i get the headache(s) of yearly inspection.
this will be interesting, since i am pretty sure my employment hinges on the texas job being a success.
wouldn't it be just my luck to have everything switched over to PA, only to just move right back to OH?
(which is what i'd do if i lost my job in PA.)
we shall see. but for now, i have a new license that looks to me like i have an out-of-state license...because i'm still not used to seeing my face on one from PA...and i always forget that i no longer live in OH.
that's all i have to report for the day.

well, there was a slight fiasco from the water company today.
blah.
also, a guy at work that i have always been fairly nice to was a jerk today. no big deal there, but still it's always nice when things like that don't happen.
i began the arrangements for texas today.
blah again.
but at least the weather has been nice. i'm going to ride the bike to work tomorrow.
hopefully tomorrow is not as crappy a day as today was.

31 to 3 loss.
Come on, guys.
WTF?

No Ghost Walk This Year

Well, I regrettably missed the ghost walk this year.
Awesome Marsha hung out with the actors during the event this year, and informed me that it was just as well done as in the past.
For those who are interested, read one of the awesome stories HERE.

Movie Night

Beam, Stogie, and a gory movie is always a good time.
Part 2 didn't have the same fear factor as part 1 did, but I found it to be an amusing movie.
I also watched 'Wolf', 'The Beast Must Die', and channel surfed between scary movies.
Good times.

it is looking like i'll be on the road in november.
while i can't promise success (though i am aiming for it), i can promise that i won't be taking that crappy gps from before.

5 of us from work spent the last two days training at a local vendor's.
We learnt some good ole' PLC stuff.
It should be noted that this is the same vendor that sent me to North Carolina.

Zoo Boo!

Tree, Bree, and I went to Zoo Boo last night.
It was a blast.
All the ghosts and goblins, candy, and the spooky train ride really made for an awesome night.
Bree went as Belle, from the cartoon Beauty & The Beast. She was totally gorgeous.
If you are in the area and have kids, check out Zoo Boo. It is a pretty fun time.

NC Trip Review

Well my trip to N.C. was a really good one.
Even with a ten hour bus trip to get down there, I found nothing about the trip that was a bad experience (they had plenty of beer and movies on the bus).

Friday and Saturday I had golf outings at Rocky River Golf Course.

It was a big out of my skill level, so I essentially sucked...but it was a great bunch of guys out there, and again, there was plenty of beer.
I had never been to a NASCAR race before, nor had I ever had any interest in the sport.
But part of this trip was the opportunity to go to two races, so since I had never gone to one before I jumped at the chance. If you notice in the pic above, there was no lack of redneck entertainment. You gotta love the confederate flag and cowboy hat combo.
I tell ya, I never saw more camouflage, confederate flags, NASCAR replica jackets, and people missing teeth in my life. Those aspects alone made the races worthwhile.

In addition to the human entertainment, the races were actually pretty cool. I got to see a Bush race (which I don't think that is the name for that type of race any more), as well as a Sprint Cup 500 race. All the big race names were there, so at least I had the thrill of knowing the bigwigs were circling the track.
To make things more interesting, we were all given headsets and personal TVs so that we would view the drivers' cameras and listen in to their chatter. I got a kick out of that. Some of the drivers ended up yelling at their pit crew through the race.
So that in a nutshell, is my official NC trip review. Not the best, but it will have to do.

El Puente!

Ain't these two chics the hottest?
We went to El Puente after buying the Santa Fe. If you've never been there - go there!
It is good food, great service, and the prices are fair. Those are all the hallmarks of a good experience.

And check out the colorful furniture!
The entire place is just as colorful. It is like a crayola explosion.

Lewis Is King

Lewis has had his 36th game of 100+ rushing.
He is a god.
***
It wasn't much of an offensive game. But we still pulled off a victory finally.
So with last week's display of greater heart, and this week's victory, we are hopefully going to see a much needed improvement this season.

Santa Fe

I checked out a Santa Fe today, at a dealership in Jefferson, Ohio.
I liked it, and they are putting a SOLD sign on it.
On Monday I will do the paperwork and drive it home.
On Monday I may also part with the Black Granny, as they will evaluate it and hopefully give me enough to make it worthwhile as a trade-in. I will sell it privately in Ohio if they don't.
There is only one glitch from today. I somehow lost my driver's license. It could be tricky to get a new one since I have played the "I live in Ohio / I live in Pennsylvania" game for the last year.
Bummer.
I suppose there is no reason to fret. At least, that is what Mr. Beam tells me.

More Mudding

Wildman, Willie A.K.A. High Chief Squatting Dog, and myself went to the Hills for a chilly & muddy game of 9 holes.
My drives were not as long as they have been in the past, but were straight for the most part. Wildman worked his mojo on the course like a champ. He helped me with my aim throughout the game.

Willie showed us that we'll never out drive him. He also helped me with my aim throughout the game.

Oh, and I made a single par as well.
It's a momentous occasion any time I pull off a par.

This was probably the last golf game for the season in the Erie area, and will remain as one of the more memorable outings.

Dungeon Of Doom!

We went to a haunted house tonight!
Bree was scared, but I think I was probably more afraid than she was. I carried her through most of it, and had to duck under cobwebs, ghouls, step over crawling zombies, and....etc.
Plus, the fog machine must have been working over time...it was hard to see anything! It was rough!
Tree carried her after a while, which was a relief.
I still have cobwebs on my clothes.

At the exit there was a guy running a picture booth. We stopped to take some pics.
They are classic.
Bree, you're a trooper. Freddy Koo Koo's got nuthin' on ya!

Tuscon

I looked at a Tuscon today after work and really liked it.
Way more money than I wanted to spend, but it would come with a great warranty.
I am never good at making good decisions, so I don't know if it would be the right vehicle.
I'll think on it for a bit.

Reception

Last Friday night we three went out to a wedding reception.
(Just now getting the pics.)
There was a lot of awesome people, good food, and great drinks (all free).

Congrats to Dan & Phil !
(Yes, they were married in California.)

I just realized my new neighbor smokes. Alot.
I am pretty sure some smoke from my stogies makes it over to the other apartment, but my stogie smoking is rare these days.
This chic must suck down a pack an hour, because she really stanks.
I can't wait for this winter, when the entire place reeks like an ashtray's ass.
...and in this corner,
...weighing in at 35 pounds, 4 ounces,
...having a professional whining record of 14 wins, no losses,
...the queen of mean,
...the princess of punch,
...Bree "Thee Bumble Bugger Bee".

Awesome Marsha came up this weekend.
We chilled out, watched Pirates 3, partied with Bryanna, and made jokes throughout the entire visit. It was excellent.

0 & 4

Well, we showed more heart than in our three previous games this year.
But it just wasn't enough.
We just aren't going to have a good year.

New Camera!

Theresa bought me a new camera for our anniversary.
It's pretty sweet. It has zoom, takes vids with sound, and all the other things I looked for such as a viewport. Oh, plus it's orange.
It is a big improvement over my old, trusty Kodak. There is still some life in that camera, though. It hasn't taken its last pictures just yet.
But this new one is going to be taking some sweet pics for quite a while.
Looking forward to it!

(Oh, and I got Theresa and Bryanna some pretty sweet gifts too, of course.)
Happy anniversary, Theresa and Bryanna!
