Final Home Game

Bree, Tree, Wildman, Amber, Tiffany, Jason, Some Chic With Tiffany, and Myself all went to the final game of the Seawolves tonight.
Bree got dippin' dots, popcorn, and soda (three of the four majoy food groups), got mauled by the wolf mascot, and boogied on my shoulders. Basically she had a blast.
Gonna have to wait until next year to catch any more games!

Compression

I am going to check the compression on the Bonneville tomorrow.

Let's keep racking them up!

Fried Triumph

It's been an emotional day.
After working on the front brakes of the Black Granny (thanks Wildman), he and I went out to pick up my Bonnie. They had it for two weeks just to do brakes and to try and find my vapor locking issue. They were unable to find it, but I am pretty sure I have narrowed it down.
When I picked it up, the pipes were completely blued, one of them to the point that it is almost black.
They claim I brought the bike in that way.
No fucking way.
They fried my bike. I am going to drain the oil to see if its burned.
If it is, it isn't looking like I am going on my trip over labor day weekend. It looks like I will be setting up the shop in my garage to rebuild my motorcycle.
I am going to seek some legal counsel to see if there is anything I can do to sue these bastards.

Brakes

Wildman taught me how to do brakes today.
Today we did the front brakes on my car.
I am going to try to do the back brakes on my own as soon as the weather permits.
Thanks Wildman. People need mechanics like you.

She Be Golfin' Now!

I spoke on the phone at length with Awesome Marsha tonight.
She is doing well, and has bought her own place.
Now how can you not say that rocks?
You go, lady.

Take Me To Your Leader

District 9 was quite interesting.
Bree would love it, because the aliens looked like bugger.
She would want to make more buggers. She's bug-crazy.

Yay!
I got a bed today, and Bree is snoozing away in it!
(Go me.)

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

I had good drives on holes 2, 4, 6, and 9.
9 must be the easiest hole on the course, because I almost parred it again.

Bed For Bree

I went to three mattress places after work.
I'm looking for a bed for Bree.
I am pretty sure I know which one I am going to buy.
Soon, she won't have to sleep on my couch any more.
Believe me, it's mostly for selfish reasons. Each morning I try to sip coffee and watch CNN, she is sleeping on my couch, so I have to go down into the basement to watch that TV.
I just can't take it anymore.

pics from the weekend

'bout time.

Saturday, August 22, 2009

I just got back from Millcreek golf course. I played in my typical fashion.
Bad.
It was a very different type of game for me, however, because I played by myself. I tried to laugh at my own jokes, but after realizing that it wasn't working I stopped. Also, complimenting my good shots didn't make me feel better.
Afterwards, I drove to Theresa's and woke up Bryanna. I left a note for Theresa, and took her to get some brekkie while Theresa slept. Now we are cheeeeeeelin' out at my place, with some Dickie Doo's pancakers, and some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Sa-weeeeeet.

Movie Night Gone Wrong

While at Walmart last night (my second trip there for the night, I might add), I decided to buy a $5 movie. Typically, that is the most I will pay for a movie nowadays since many DVDs are so inexpensive. So I bought "BUG".
Bummer.
That's all I have to say. While Ashley Judd did a great job, and I am a big fan of Michael Shannon, this movie was a fart in the wind, in my opinion. It was still watchable for a few reasons. Number 1.) Ashley Judd is nude in some scenes. Number 2.) Michael Shannon is totally creepy in this film, and Number 3.) Ashley Judd is nude in some scenes. That one was worth two mentions. So if you have a stogie, some whiskey, and junk food....you might want to give this movie a try. If you have none of the above supplies...there will be nothing to keep you distracted in between long periods of wishing to see Ashley nude again.

Another night of hardcore put-putting.
I'm not sure some of Bree's shots were legal. But she still thinks she rocks.

There was also this wild jungle gym - type - of thing.
Evidently she thought that rocked too.
Kind of looked like a little monkey.
I'm glad she had fun. It was nice to have a night out with the girls.

Another day on the course. One of my good days driving, and though I struggled making contact on the ground, I still didn't fare too bad. I parred hole 9 again, which was a really good feeling...

Today was Pat's last day working there. I'll miss her.

Team Chaweenie won a skin and had a final score of 79. Not bad, seeing as we had a couple slight challenges, and that the rating of this course is 72.
The first challenge was that we only had three players. Willie (High Chief Squatting Dog), Wildman, and myself (Stick) were there, but the Giant did not show.
The second challenge was that I DID show up.
I set the mood on the first hole, and some of my drives weren't too shabby. Furthermore, I sunk a couple of nice puts. But other than that, it was all Wildman and Willie. I essentially could have not shown up also.
But it was fun. We joked, got crazy with our golf carts, and enjoyed each other's company.
Afterwards, there was a great picnic with the best burgers I have had in a long time.
The only bummer is that the weekend is over already.
Time to start planning for the next weekend.

I stopped over Theresa's after the tournament. She looked good.
I asked if she saw the nice note I left her this morning right next to where she slept, and she said that she did not. Figures.
Bryanna and I went to Asbury Park afterwards, and we are now watching Spongebob Square Pants. She's a good buddy to hang out with.

Saturday, August 15, 2009

What a busy day.
Went out to eat, worked a bit today, finished putting the Triumph together (with Theresa's help) and dropped the bike off at Offroad near Wattsburgh (also with Theresa's help).
Then we went to Celebrate Erie. Bree had a blast.
And she is spending the night with me, because I was unhappy with the daycare's performance last night. Theresa will speak to the people in charge to complain, I am guessing.
Golf tidbit: I'm ready for tomorrow's golf tournament, at least in spirit.

Friday, August 14, 2009

Well, we went to dinner at Applebee's today because I had a reason to celebrate.
Afterwards, we went to a car show directly across from the diner.
I saw two people that I met at the Roar On The Shore....they had a suped up Datsun 280 that was old as dirt, and only had 38,000 miles on it. It was pretty sweet.
Mustangs, Firebirds, Camaros, an awesome Olds 442, and even a '54 Kaiser Special.
Very nice night out, followed by some late night working on the Triumph for tomorrow.

Driving Range

Bryanna and Theresa went to the indoor driving range with me today. Bree launched a ball a whopping three yards and showed everyone there what real skill can do at a driving range.
Booyah.
Then we went put-putting. Bree is, of course, the champ of it...most of her holes ended up as holes in one.
(Ahem)
My first time driving here was with Wildman...and no I didn't hit his knee that day if you were wondering.
Reference Here.

Motorcycle Mama

Bree is a total badass on a bike, lemme tell ya.
Above is from the day we fed the fishers, duckers, and seadulls. She wanted a picture on a motorcycle really bad....or maybe I did...but in any event she is shaping up to being a motorcycle mama...
The pic above is from today at Scott Park.
Keep in mind that this is not her first time on a motorcycle!

The neat thing about Scott Park is that they have a BMX bicycle race track. We got to see some awesome races.

Paul "The Hammer" Smith

I showed off my new skills on the course today.
Bruce's new nickname for me is "The Hammer".
Steve congratulated me on the improvement, and everyone else did too.
This was my best game of the season, and I'm ready to help Team Chaweenie kick butt at Sunday's tournament!

Cheeelin' With Bree

Bree got super sick this morning, and therefore didn't go to daycare.
So instead, I watched her after work (for the third day straight - go me).
We bought a new movie (Blue's Clues), and made the last of the buggers from her kit.
(Frank The Bugger Bee would be so proud...)
(Here she is posing with her buggers...)
It was a good night hanging out!

Canoe Adventure

Today was probably the hottest day of summer. It reached 93 or higher, and boy was it muggy too. So some water adventure was needed.
We decided to go out into the Presque Isle lagoons in a canoe. Tree and I got the hang of it after a while, but it sure was hilarious for the first 15 minutes. And poor Bree was stuck in the middle, getting splooshed by our paddles from both front and back. She was a good sport about it, though.
It sure was peaceful with all the calm waters and lily pads...when Bree wasn't babbling....which only happens when she runs out of breath. (Not too often)
After the lagoon trip we walked along the beach. I rolled my khakis up, but still got completely soaked. Oh well. My fault for not wearing shorts.
I enjoyed today.

The Duckers And Seadulls Walk On The Fishers

We took a trip to the spillway at Pymatuning today.
Bree fed the fishers. She fed the duckers. She fed the Seadulls.
Them duckers really walk on them fishers!
And they can eat a loaf of white bread faster than I can get angry!
(And that's fairly fast)
Bree is shaping up as my best friend.

Driving Range Improves Play

The Giant and I met at the driving range of the Mill Creek golf course. We whacked a bunch of balls, and Willie showed up after a bit.
Driving first really improved things.
I not only cleared the tree on the infamous hole 5.....in my opinion I killed it.
Every hole but hole one had an awesome drive. Hole one had a memorable one, however.
The ball came off the tee as if it was going to roll on the ground, but instead hit the Ladies' Tee markers and shot way up in the sky. It was awesome.
We had a great time.

Working On Bonnie

The time has come to work on the Trumper.
So the tank is to be removed for the following reasons:
-vapor locking
-spark plugs
-cleaning the petcock screen filter
The instrument cluster needed removed...

The tank is now sitting on the workbench that was built for the xs360 project. Check out Santa Clause in the background.
For now the Triumph is stripped.
But not for long!

Motorcycle Ride And Asbury Trails

The Bonneville was pulled out of the garage today, and I took a small trip to Tree's place.
Bree was happy to see me...but then again who isn't?
(Above is a pic of her in my Triumph hat.)
We walked on a lot of trails, skipped stones on the river (stream?), and of course the swings and slide were required activities.

These two chicks are power hikers.
It was a nice time outdoors today.

Visiting Tree!

I went to see Tree on her break at work. The place was packed, she was happy to see me, and the visit was great overall. I gotta do that again sometime.
Well, nobody got hit by a golf ball tonight. So I guess it went better than last time (sorry Wildman). No par today. As expected.

snow blower night

wildman's garage. red snow blower from my trunk.

WIldman's Knee, Thanks To Me

HCQD A.K.A. Willie, Wildman, and myself went to Orchard Ponds this morning.
The day started off rough, with nobody knowing the tee time that Willie had come up with.
So we rushed around in the morning to get to Orchard ponds, and of course those two guys were playing better than me right from the start.
On hole 8, things turn a turn for the worse...in a direction that only I am capable of putting it in.
I was lining up a shot with my hybrid 4, Wildman was about ten feet to my right (well out of the way)....somehow my hit was so bad it went right at him, and he took it to the left knee.
Somehow he still managed to play the 9th hole.
I know he probably felt worse about the situation than I do, but I felt horrible about it the entire day. I am not sure I'll be able to golf (not that I could golf before) without it bothering me.
So, I owe him lunch for the next week. I figure it's the least I can do after injuring him.
Sorry Wildman. You can hit me next time. If there is one.
