The Falls

For the fourth: it's the Falls!
The gals and I are going to put our passports to use, and are crossing the border for some 'international travel'.
Maybe I can smuggle some Cubans across the border. You just never know.
I'm looking forward to it, as it may be my last good time for quite some time.

Work travel Update: The Texas job is back on. I'll find out soon when I am heading back to the Lone star State.

Enough To Drive You Mad

Them bills them bills them,
DAMN BILLS.
That car that car that,
worn out set of wheels.

At times, things get bad.
It's enough to drive you mad.

That press that press that,
DAMN press.
Part of a project that's,
quite a mess.
At times, things get bad.
Just a tad.
And it's enough to drive you mad.

and yet another....

too much death....

Oh, She's Supa-Dupa Fly

Uh-Huh.
***
it ain't no thang,
so let it do what it do.

i took my ride yesterday, and the oil leak from the clutch release is still going. bummer.
also yesterday, i went to asbury woods with theresa and bryanna....it is a beautiful park, and quickly becoming a favorite of mine, much like nelson ledges and swine creek.
as for today, well...i think i'll do some work for a few hours, and then start doing some research.
i also plan to update my resume today or early this week.
plans, plans, plans. ever notice how 90 percent of plans never come to fruition?

we walked the bridge,
and viewed the water.
it was a wonderful day out!

Well well well...

The weather is beautiful today. So I am doing my best to enjoy it while I can.
High Chief Squatting Dog and I finished a game at Orchard ponds today, and now that I've rested up from that I'm going to pull out the bike.
(Today was my best day of driving ever!)
I figure a nice ride is just what the doctor ordered.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, and if you are working this weekend I hope it's a good day at work.

Good Day

Par 4.
I made the hole in 4.
Holy smokes I actually made par.
And Theresa rode her bike with Bryanna....
...and they went downtown and obviously has a blast.
So I have to say it was a good day.

El Jeepo

Looked at some Patriots today.
They have sweet deals right now.
I am going back tomorrow to test drive one.
I may buy one.

Bonneville Update: Wildman and I rode around the isle today after work. My goal was to see if the Speedmaster was leaking bad. So far, no more oil has made its way out, so it might not be all that bad. Yay - go me - happy day!

Ise Ride

Took a short ride to the workplace this morning. I wanted to finalize some stuff that needs turned in tomorrow.
Afterwards, I stopped at home to pick up my cell phone, and took a ride around the Isle. Though, I didn't take the above picture, that is a lighthouse that I saw on my ride. It was pretty neat to see it up close. (It's actually fairly tiny compared to many other lighthouses...)
After pulling in the garage I ended up discovering bad news. I noticed the smell of burning oil. I found the culprit pretty quick: my clutch release seal is leaking oil. I am not sure how bad it is leaking as of yet, so i will ride it as much as I can this month to get an idea of urgency.
It's no simple fix, and would cost some greenbacks. It could be the bearings and the seal, or just the seal. Either way, the entire clutch cover needs to come off to fix it.
Not cool. Not cool at all.
For hardly riding the bike at all this year (still under 300 miles this entire year), it sure has bummed me out.

Disappearing Act

The girls and I went to the mall today.
Bryanna decided to play in impromptu game of hide and seek that scared Theresa and I.
We found her, though.
But it wasn't cool at all.

Another Day, Another FORE!

The par continues to elude me.
High Chief Squatting Dog A.K.A. Willie is the absolute king of driving the ball. I have never been more amazed at his ability. He can slam that ball.
I also golfed with Big Al. He is an experienced golfer with tons of tips that....well...actually help if you do what he says to do. I, however, am thick-headed...and refused to listen until the end.
However...there are certain people that I have the extreme displeasure of working with.
And they, too, are on this golf league.
As a result, a rough day at work that was followed by a rough day at the course.....was topped off by one of those people in particular. I think his goal is to intentionally hurt feelings...and he ended up doing just that. Congrats, dude. Good job.
Other than my interaction with that one guy, the day at golf went as expected......horrible as usual.
I did enjoy myself still. (Prior to dealing with him.)

I'm not giving up. I will get par. I will improve.
And gosh darnit...people like me.

Ride To The Bluffs

I took a ride out to the bluffs today. Some excellent hiking and scenery for sure.
The bugs were a bit much, though. My helmet went from freshly cleaned to...well...buggie.
Reminiscent of the derelict school in Paris Township, Ohio......
I rode past the old Amboy School. I think it must have been a nice place to have your children attend. Now...like so many other buildings in the US is it just another abandoned, yet still beautiful relic.

I also rode across the Amboy covered bridge. The roads leading up to it were not at all motorcycle - friendly (gravel roads). My cheeks tightened so much on that road that I think I could have made a diamond back there. But I survived, and it was worth it.

The Bonneville rode smooth. It was a wonderful ride.
One I'll hopefully recall for years.

Booger!

Bryanna sported a pretty sweet hat, Alex boogied on the table and drooled like a champ, Theresa was hot as ever, Wildman was the object of Bryanna's affection, Amber was as excellent as always....and I....sucked.
It was a pretty great night out!
Oh, and an Iron update:
It is not able to be repaired. I am again stumped by an appliance.
Dude....that stanks.

Iron

I plugged in my iron this morning, and it refused to heat up.
Bummer.
I mentioned it to a coworker this morning, and he remarked that the same thing happened to him recently.
Bummer for him too, I guess.
I'll fix it.

Ouch

Today I loaded my stapler with staples. When it wouldn't close all the way, I tried squeezing it shut.
My thumb happened to be right in the path of the staple, and I stapled my thumb. All that was showing of the staple was the center....the two verticals were buried in the thumb.
Bozo of the year award goes to me!
So I then tried to look in the first aid kit that was bestowed on me from my involvement in first aid training. There were no band-aids. There was a bandage that was big enough to make me into a mummy, however.
I am still in disbelief that I did that. Ouch.
I included two links to previous posts. One that shows the stapler, and the other refers to the first aid training.
Kids...don't try that at home!
